Aston Martin has taken the wraps off the new Lagonda, revealing a luxury sedan built on the same lightweight aluminum architecture as seen on the Rapide S, and featuring a 6.0-liter V12 under the hood. Details are scarce for now, but we know the car’s body panels are made completely from carbon fiber, and that its weight is “neutral over the Rapide S.” Rumors have the top speed rated at 175 mph during testing. Inside the cabin, the comparison to the Rapide S becomes more pronounced, with a large transmission tunnel running through both rows of seats, which are draped in premium diamond-quilted leather. The production run will feature extremely limited numbers (reports have the figure at 150 to 200) with availability exclusive to Lagonda’s invitation-only customers in the Middle East.
