From September 14 to November 13, NIGO’s extensive retro collection from the last 35 years called VINTAGE ARCHIVE, will be on exhibit at the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum in Tokyo. This show will feature a lot of what NIGO has been collecting since he was a kid including various styles of jean jackets, a lot of LEE jeans, college sweatshirts, as well as Snoopy gear.
NIGO is such a streetwear don, that he only needs to go by one name. The Japanese icon is the head honcho at HUMAN MADE and the artistic director of KENZO. He recently released I KNOW NIGO, a full album with collaborators like his great friend Pharrell, as well as Tyler, the Creator, A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, Gunna, A$AP Ferg, and The Teriyaki Boyz.
It’s a rare treat that NIGO lets so many items get viewed by the public at once. For those that are in Tokyo and into retro mania, VINTAGE ARCHIVE is a must-see.
